『Community』
BKT provides suitable job opportunities for disabled persons in order to let them participate in the society. Meanwhile, we order food ingredients from The Hong Kong Society for the Blind for being supportive. We sponsor Oxfam’s Trailwalker, Marathon and other activities. We set up donation box for Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and help organizing parties for the elderly. We are particularly concerned about the welfare of the elderly. We work closely with in Kowloon City Baptist Church Neighborhood Elderly Centre and other elderly homes. In addition, one of the BKT branch "Kung Fu Dim Sum" regularly provide meal vouchers, buns and festive food for the elderly. We cooperate with the Royal Thai Consulate-General Hong Kong to promote Thai culture with activities, such as the Birthday Anniversary for His Majesty King, the annual Amazing Thailand Festival, etc.).
『Environment』
We have implemented a number of programs and initiatives to fulfill environmental protection principles during constructions and operations. In terms of daily operations, we apply through four main levels of environmental protection measures, each including energy management, waste management, noise control, wastewater management. For example, our restaurants use LED lights to reduce power consumption and light pollution. We maintain indoor temperature at 25 degrees Celsius in order to reduce electricity consumption. To reduce water consumption, we set up our own dish washing factory to centralize dish washing. In addition, we installed filters in the kitchen vents to reduce air pollution. All our restaurants use environmentally friendly wood furniture to reduce damage to forests if circumstances allowed.
We are honored “Caring Company” by Hong Kong Council of Social Service for three consecutive years. In 2015, we are credited by Mirror Post as "Outstanding Social Responsibility for SMEs' appreciating us responsible role for environmental protection and community connection.
